An excellent start for the Stags!

A warm, sunny, early September sunny afternoon at Kings House School Sports Ground, Chiswick, with a (thankfully) verdant grass pitch, saw the Stags get off to a really good start to open the 2025-26 campaign, hosting Maidenhead at Dukes Meadows.
The Stags were ruthlessly efficient from the off, with strong running, carrying, and handling throughout. After a dozen minutes they were 12 points up, with tries by Ted Wainwtight and Thomas Walton, one converted by David Wilkinson. Stags capitalised on wayward opposition line outs, and piled on the pressure throughout the first half. George Butler and Emmet McDonnell added two more tries on 30 and 37 minutes, with David Wilkinson converting both. Half time: CS Stags 26 – Maidenhead 0 - and the 4 Try bonus secured.
The second half saw more of the same, and once again excellent strong running, and exemplary back up support, saw the Stags run in a further 7 unanswered tries. There were a lot of takeaways for the coaches to work on, but this was a really strong start from the boys. The lineouts worked really well, and support on the shoulder for the ball carrier was heartening. Very well done to all - great performance. FT Score: CS Stags 67 – Maidenhead 0
